A true best friend!
Born out of Royston Royal Fern and Cusop Fingerprint, sold at a yearling sale for £150 Glenallan Harmony began his journey.
He started as a working hunter but Glen's 'Fairy' personality led to a career of posing draped in rosettes, sashes and smiles.
In 98 his advert sparkled – "2nd Blue Riband. Manners to burn". One short phone call and our partnership began.
Watching ponies at Wembley a few weeks later I said "Glen will bring me here I know it!" My prediction came true. I got my first rides at Wembley and the RIHS finishing 8th at both. A year later SHP Champion at Royal Windsor and 3rd at HOYS – victories beyond my wildest dreams. Champagne was essential!
Finally in the nick of time before my legs got too long we rode together in the spotlight, winning the Pretty Polly SHP Championship at BSPS.
All had been magical but now the prospect of parting was looming. I wept buckets but Glen was rescued just in time! Into our lives sprang 'Little Charlotte' with a burning desire to ride and play ponies. Charlotte hardly knew how to canter but Glen was the perfect teacher. After endless determination and practice they arrived at BSPS Champion PA Business Systems SHP, the Supreme Champion and spectacularly Reserve Supreme of the show. 'Simply The Best' is certainly what Glen is.
Charlotte says "It was my first season and I will never forget it, those BSPS nights were the best! I have met the most beautiful pony in the world."
