Guy Fawkes, or Billy as he's affectionately known at home, has been with us since 2000. My mum crept out in the middle of the night with the intention of buying a "foot perfect" pony and low and behold, he arrived at ours for that evening's feed.
Billy's had a prolific showing career so far, both in Small Hunters with Louise and in Intermediates with us – successfully moving up the ranks from Novice to Opens.
Being the saint that he is, with his super temperament, Billy's easy to produce and has developed an ever-increasing fan club. He has given me a lot of pleasure and success, winning many Intermediate Championships including the Ronnie Marmont, BSPS Winter Championships, Ponies UK and now the Blue Riband.
Winning this championship was amazing and the lap of honour is something I will never forget. For Billy to be under spotlights, cantering out to "Simply The Best" is so appropriate because he is a true star, always wanting to please and giving his all. On the night he rose to the occasion, performing a first class show to ensure that he was rewarded with the Blue Riband Intermediate Championship title.
I would like to thank everyone involved who made it possible. For being such an angel, Louise for giving us the opportunity, my parents for buying him, Leon and the team at home who produce him so fantastically and Michelle for being there when she was needed.
