Jasper came to us from producer Jerome Harforth, having been ridden by Anna, the daughter of owner Diane Morton.  Diane had bought him as a five year old from the breeder Linda O’Malley.

After a successful time on him including Novice 133 SHP Winter Champs, placed at HOYS and RIHS and many, many wins, he arrived in Kent in 2003 as Anna was out of the class.

As Chloe was only 9 years old and still in First Ridden we decided to keep thinks low key and do just a few shows, we did manage to keep to just half a dozen but low key to Jasper and Chloe was not an option!

They promptly won their first three shows and qualified for HOYS and RIHS, were Champion SHP at Kent County and the addition of a 2nd and 5th at RIHS and HOYS respectively was a real bonus.

This season the partnership has really come into its own, after two years they trust each other completely and enjoy themselves whether just hacking out around the Kent orchards or competing at the highest level.

This season only one 2nd placing stopped him from having 14 straight wins and championships, up to his third successive Kent County championship. Add to this the Supreme Ridden Champion at Ponies (UK) Summer Champs makes a wonderful season – but the best was still to come!

Having won the 133 SHP Blue Riband, 133 Champion of Champions and Supreme Champion of Champions to go on to take the Overall Supreme was fantastic.  The thrill of winning HOYS a few weeks later capped an unbelievable season.  The highlight of the season for us was their show in the Blue Riband and the Supreme at the B.S.P.S. Summer Championships, the atmosphere of an evening performance in the spotlight is an unforgettable experience.  THANK YOU B.S.P.S.

None of this would have been possible without Stuart, Diane and Anna giving Chloe the opportunity to ride such a once in a lifetime pony and of course Jasper for being Jasper.
