BSPS BRIGHT STARS PERFORMANCE SUPREME 2012

Open to BSPS MEMBERS and NON MEMBERS with registered or unregistered animals

QUALIFYING CLASSES

BRIGHT STARS LEAD REIN
Ponies 4 years old or over not exceeding 128cms to be shown on the Lead Rein.  Riders not to have attained their 8th birthday before  1st January in the current year.

BRIGHT STARS FIRST PONY
Ponies 4 years old or over not exceeding 128cms Suitable for a child’s First Pony off the Lead Rein. Riders not to have attained their 10th birthday before 1st January in the current year.

BRIGHT STARS RIDING PONY
Ponies 4 years old or over not exceeding 148cms. 
Riders not to have attained their 17th birthday before the 1st January in the current year.

BRIGHT STARS HUNTER PONY
Ponies 4 years old or over not exceeding 153cms
Riders not to have attained their 20th birthday before 1st January the current year.

BRIGHT STARS INTERMEDIATE
Animals 4 years old or over. exceeding 146cms.  Riders not to have attained their 25th birthday before 1st January in the current year.

BRIGHT STARS RIDING HORSE
Animals  4 years old or over. exceeding 148cms.   Riders any age.

BRIGHT STARS HUNTER
Animals 4 years old or over. exceeding 148cms Riders any age

THE FINALS

The finals will be held at the B.S.P.S. Summer Championships Show.

All competitors in the final will receive a Finalist ROSETTES.

Placed Rosettes will be awarded to 10th place in all classes.

Sashes will be awarded to all class winners.

The 1st and 2nd prize winners of each class and compete for the:-
“BRIGHT STARS SUPREME”

The Supreme Champion will receive a Flower Sash.

The Supreme Championship will be held during the
Saturday Evening Performance,
in the Vauxhall Championships Hall, (Indoor Arena)
 

RULES AND ELIGIBILITY

1. PONIES/HORSES  THAT HAVE QUALIFIED FOR THE RIHS OR HOYS IN ANY SECTION CANNOT COMPETE IN THE QUALIFYING ROUNDS OR THE FINAL.
    
2. The Bright Stars classes are open to BSPS members and NON members riding registered or unregistered animals.
    
3. Animals do not require a JMB Height Certificate.  Animals and riders do not need to be registered to qualify or compete at the Final.
    
4. Animals must be plaited
    
5. Correctly secured British Standard Skull Caps/Riding Hats that meet current safety standards MUST be worn by riders at all times when mounted.
    
6. Riders may only ride one animal in each class
    
7. Judges may be selected locally and do not have to be on any Judges Panel as we realise that economically it could be difficult to get a BSPS Panel Judge.  We do expect that the judge selected does some knowledge and experience of judging these type of classes.
    
8. Any suitable bridles may be worn and handles on saddles in the Lead Rein Class are permitted.  Spurs may only be worn in Riding Horse and Hunter Classes.
    
9. The 1st 2nd  and 3rd placed ponies in each class will qualify for the final to be held at the 2012 BSPS Championships Show.
   QUALIFICATION CARDS WILL BE AWARDED TO THE FIRST THREE ANIMALS IN EACH CLASS
    
10. PRIZE MONEY may be awarded at the Shows discretion – Any prize money given will NOT be recorded on the BSPS Database.
     
11. RESULTS - As show organisers you would not have to send in your results – just give out our special qualifying cards to the first three in each class.
     
12. RANGE OF CLASSES
    We would ask that you put on at least 4 of the above classes which you think would be the best supported but we would be delighted if you could run the full range.  These classes can be run in conjunction with other BSPS Classes in the Rule Book as we feel that they would increase your entries and give competitors another chance to qualify.
     
13. All other BSPS General and Championship show Rules apply AT THE FINAL ONLY.
