Mouse Dun Highland Pony Stallion. By the Olympia Supreme Champion Torrin of Croila and out of HM The Queen's Tower Lucky Charm, Clyde was bred by Mr J. Hendrie, owned by Gemma Stanford and ridden by Mathew Lawrence.

Lightly shown this year, Clyde qualified for HOYS and was champion at his first show of the year, P(UK) South. He won and was champion at his second show, Royal Windsor, qualifying him for Olympia. Clyde was also Supreme Champion at NPS Area 10. During his inhand career he qualified twice for the prestigious Cuddy final at HOYS and this year he narrowly missed out on his third Cuddy ticket, when he stood reserve at P(UK) West Midlands to the eventual HOYS Cuddy Champion.

Clyde has sired several foals both North and South of the border who look set to follow in his prolific show winning footsteps, with his daughter Tyne of Dalnacardoch being overall Highland Pony champion at Blair 2012.

Clyde has unfortunately been unable to contest the shows in the latter half of the season due to an injury which was a devastatating and untimely blow for his Owners and Producers. He really is a one in a million pony, with the temperament, conformation, movement and most of all star quality.

Cadlanvalley Sandpiper (Eyarth Troy x Stockham Domino) 6yr old cream welsh section B gelding, Qualified for Olympia at his first qualifier at the Royal Bath and West Show 2nd June 2012. Sandpiper has had a fabulous season qualifying for HOYS and being champion at NPS Area 5 in April, Qualifying RIHS and Champion BSPS Area 4, Qualifying RIHS Juniors and Overall M&M Champion Baston. Sandpiper and Catherine were 2nd at the RIHS and won the NPS Junior Ridden final at this years NPS Summer Champs.

Sandpiper and Catherine look forward to returning to Olympia having greatly enjoyed competing in the 2011 final where they finished in 7th place,

Moss-Side McLaren owned by Mr Bright. 

McLaren qualified HOYS and Olympia in 2012 in a five day period, winning his HOYS ticket at Midland Counties on 2nd June, and qualifying Olympia as Champion at the Suffolk Show on 7th June.

We stumbled across Jake purely by chance after seeing a photo of him in-hand at the royal show. We managed to track down his identity and then purchased him from his breeders Mr & Mrs McNamara. Last season Jake finished 2nd at the RIHS and 4th at HOYS. He narrowly missed out on his Olympia ticket standing reserve to my section D at countryside live. This season due to my pregnancy Jake has been lightly shown. He collected his RIHS ticket but I couldn't ride there and narrowly missed out on his HOYS ticket. At the Hickstead derby meeting Jake won and went champion qualifying him for Olympia. He was beautifully ridden by Emma Boardman (as I was still out of action!) who also broke Jake as a youngster. I was waiting nervously at home for the news but I knew he'd perform in the main ring as he loves a big atmosphere!

Jake absolutely loves his job and always goes in the ring with a smile on his face.

8 yr fell, Henry was purchased two years ago after a shopping trip north when I was looking for a sec c, he was in the stable and had just been cut after having run on the fells as a stud stallion, I was told he was sale, I just fell for him I loved everything about him, he came home and was turned out for the rest of year, strangely he did not want to be turned out with others and kept jumping out and coming home walking up the village and back in his stable. Over the winter the cows decided his tail was rather nice so eat half of it over night so he had to spent another year in the field while it grew. Henry has had a very light first season under saddle as Isabel is away at uni, he won his first three novice classes, qualified for Royal International open and junior, 2nd HOYS qualifier west midlands and 1st and CH Three Counties Show. He finished 4th at RI and 2nd HOYS, he qualified for Olympia at The New Forest Show. Henry has been a real superstar with an amazing character and well worth the long wait.

2012 has been a super year for Bronheulog Harvey,he has been ridden by both Samantha Roberts and Millie Manners. Millie had only had him a short time before winning several classes at the BSPS Winter Champs. He qualified for the Royal International Horse show as an Open M&M Ridden, a 138 M&M WHP & Nursery Stakes. That alone is quite a feat. He went on to win the BSPS Heritage M&M Ridden - Welsh A&B Final at the Royal International Horse Show. He was also placed 3rd in the M&M WHP Final too. Other results include, Champion and overall Supreme at BSPS Area 11, 1st Baston Show, Champion at BSPS Area 14, 1st NPS Area 15, Champion NPS Area 24 ,etc. In his 1st HOYS Ridden qualifier this year; he won, and also he did his only BSPS Olympia Qualifier at Pembrooke County where he was Champion and qualified for Olympia. He also jumped round to win at both the NPS Summer Champs and gain his HOYS M&M WHP ticket and Royal Highland to win the 133cm HOYS WHP.  At the BSPS Summer Champs, both Millie and Harvey enjoyed great success with wins including the Red division of the M&M WHP & Novice 133 WHP. After a busy summer Harvey has had a lovely long holiday and is now fresh and ready for Olympia. This will be his 2nd time at the Christmas Party, he was 4th Overall and Best of Breed last year.

After a nasty accident at this years BSPS Lancashire Champs Show, I was resting feeling sorry for myself when I saw a picture of 'Anthony' on Facebook for sale. I have always wanted my own Sec A after having so much fun and success on Mynyddtarren The Maverick that I literally bought him over the phone within 10 minutes of seeing the photo! It was a risk but after the 7 hour drive down to Portsmouth to pick him up I was more than happy with him. He was only broken at the end February this year but being that little bit older he took to being under saddle like a duck to water. Within two weeks of him being settled in Blackpool I took him to Red Rosé County Show where he won the novice and the open ridden classes. I knew then that I was going to have to have some fun with this pony as he was so easy to show. Being a novice he was lightly shown this season but was novice champion at Aintree National Show and won his breed class at Equifest. The BSPS Scottish Finale show was just the icing on the cake! I went to see if I could get my Olympia Semi Qualifier ticket but never did I ever think I would come home taking Champion and the straight through golden ticket, especially on a novice! A huge thank you must go to Charlie Knight for selling me this special pony even though it was a heartbreaking decision. She did a fantastic job of breaking him and making him a pleasure to ride.

6yr old brown Welsh C stallion by Rangeview Revenge x Popsters There's Lovely Bred by Mr J Davis Tommy is my pony of a lifetime!

He is the kindest easiest pony I've had the pleasure of riding and has a lot of fans because of his superb nature - He loves having a scratch from anyone that comes to visit especially on his bottom! This season he qualified for HOYS at the first show of the year and was placed 6th, he won the prestigeous Brynseion National section C final and was practically unbeaten all year both inhand and undersaddle. All of this whilst carrying out a full season standing at stud and covering mares.

He has previously qualified for HOYS and has won the Royal Welsh undersaddle twice, standing overall champion in 2011 The icing on the cake is qualifying him for Olympia - he really does make all my dreams come true!!!!

This year Monet has excelled in the show ring. He competed at the NPS Dressage Championships at Addington and achieved a creditable 3rd with over 73% in his first Preliminary test. He has also started jumping and he really enjoys this new aspect of his life! Monet has stood at stud this year to a limited number of outside mares, his first crop of foals look very exciting as he seems to be passing on his lovely temperament, good bone and limbs.

Monet is a delight to own and we are grateful to his breeder Mrs. Gilchrist Fisher from the Lemonshill Stud for letting us have him. He is an absolute gentleman and loves having Claire's children ride him whenever the opportunity arises. He is even known to come into the kitchen to share a mug of coffee!!

Tawelfan Red Robin owned by Fiona Cork came to me at the end of December 2011 on loan for the 2012 season with the intention of qualifying him for HOYS.

I qualified HOYS and after an amazing season Fiona and I decided I should 'have a go' at an Olympia semi final qualifier…. I left it quite late and entered the last one at Rugby on 15th September and came 1st qualifying me for the final at BSPS in October. After a last minute judge change and a bit of a panic wondering whether this judge would like 'Rodders' it all worked out fantastic - I only went and won the class qualifying us for Olympia and making a dream come true, that was the first Olympia qualifier I had ever ridden in and will be my first experience riding at Olympia all thanks to the amazing grumpy pony that we all love!! (and of course thanks to Fiona for trusting me with her little superstar!)

Roseberry Model Man Welsh Sec B 8 yr old Dun stallion owned and bred by Mrs T Heathcote ,Roseberry Stud Produced and ridden by Lucinda Craven. Magic has had a quiet showing season this year due to his stud duties .This year he has had a 1st at Cheshire County Show qualifing for HOYS finishing in 11th place at the final.On his next outing he went to the BSPS Heritage winning his section and qualifing for Olympia for his first time which was a dream come true. 2011 season he won his RIHS Qualifers at Bsps area 2b and BSPS Winter Champs and Hoys qualifers at Lincoln show and Great Yorkshire show .Through the winter he hunted with Lucinda with the Holcombe Hunt before returning to 'Stud duties'. Magic has a fantastic temperament and character and is a very special pony to the Roseberry Stud. He is available AI world wide .His stock already have been sold to Finland and the Netherlands. We are really looking forward to competing at our stud's first time at Olympia.

7 year old Exmoor mare (Siskin/Blackthorn Posy) Bred by Jackie Webb and Ann Nicholls, owned by Ann Nicholls, produced and ridden by Katy Marriott-Payne Blackthorn Blush Rose, known as Blossom, has succeeded all expectations in her ridden career. In 2011, her first year under saddle, she qualified and won at the Horse of the Year Show. Her season this year didn't start until late May as she had to lose the huge winter coat (and tummy) that she had acquired after a five month holiday! She qualified for HOYS and the BSPS Olympia semi finals at her first attempts and I think only went to seven shows before the Heritage Championships. So it was a great thrill when she won her breed class to qualify for Olympia. Blossom does have her quirks but she has put her trust in Katy but she has yet to accept that Katy's son is someone she shouldn't really be afraid of. Her amazing gallop is often commented on by judges – well, she was broken in a racing yard and was used sometimes as the trainer's hack accompanying the horses to the gallops!

Jack came to Abi in April 2012, on loan from her friend, Charlotte Hobday.

At Derby County they won & were Reserve Champions. They had good placings at the NPS and BSPS Summer Champs. They then won at PUK Summer Champs & qualified for HOYS, where they were 5th.

Jack was due to be sold after HOYS & 1 hour before being collected from HOYS by the Hobday family, and after a few frantic phone calls, a deal was made and Jack was sold to Abigail!

Braemar Be Lucky was bred by Sue Gillingham and we purchased him as a 4 year old, he is and always will be my pony of a life time, not only thorough his outstanding achievements in the show ring but also as a part of our family. We have always produced him from home where he can be found most days roaming around the yard, after a few years of trying to stop him escaping from the field we have now given up and we just open his stable door in the mornings and let him go wherever he likes.
He has been known to scare the post man and eat mums flowers! Some of his most memorable results are listed below.

So far in his career Tom has won the summer heritage final 4 times and taken me down the centre line to simply the best no less than 8 times!!

He narrowly missed qualifying for Olympia in 2011 on numerous occasions and now this year has ticked all the boxes on my wish list earning his place at Olympia 2012.

Ridden by Tracey Milward, qualified at the Heritage Championships, picking up his semi final ticket at BSPS area 2a.

"Ernie" began this season as a novice and has ended it by qualifying for Olympia! We attended our first Olympia final last year with Cwmmaddoc Neifion, and we are delighted to be heading back there again this year, and this time with a homebred making it even more special.

"Ernie" is a 5 year old Welsh section D stallion by our own Craignant Express who is now 24 years old, and is out of Abergavenny Nutmeg by Pennal Calon Lan.

I have owned 'Ollie' since a foal when I purchased him from Pat Robinson of the Vean stud in Devon. He began his career in hand as a youngster competing in Dartmoor pony society in hand classes. He had many successes and wins which culminated as a three year old with winning the Puk Glen Greenwood at the summer championship show.

As an adult he was broken to ride at Julie Barton's yard in Suffolk where he resides today. Ollie has been brought on slowly and shown very lightly. His first major show was the Heritage championship show last year where he was successful winning the novice and restricted first ridden and taking the championship in both sections.

This year as a 7 year old he qualified for the Royal International juniors at Nps 13 and the Olympia semi-finals at Bsps 16 ,both on his first attempt. He also had wins at both Puk and Equifest and several near misses with Hoys qualification. This year's Heritage champs saw Ollie and Abbie winning the restricted class and obviously to our extreme delight they won the Olympia class on the second day.

Nebo Julie Ann is bred by the Nebo Stud and is now ridden by their granddaughter Lowri Reed of the Tyngwndwn Stud. Julie Ann has had a very successful in-hand and ridden career, shown in-hand by Lowri's Uncle Owen, and ridden firstly by Eleri Marshalsay, then Lowri's sister Catrin and now Lowri. Julie Ann and Lowri have had an outstanding season, they qualified for HOYS at the Three Counties Show, then went on to be Section D Overall Ridden Champion at the Royal Welsh Show, won the Brynseion Welsh Cob Championship, gained a semi final Heritage ticket at Pembroke County, then went on to win the welsh cob class at HOYs and being reserve Champion to the eventual supreme of show, and her last show was the Heritage Final at Grantham where we gained the Olympia qualifier.

Sharptor Laser Red, Owned and bred by Julian Walters, Produced by Debbie Barr, ridden by Alice Barr. After a successfully inhand career Laser was broken March 2011, he had an excellent novice season winning the NPS Picton novice Final, Heritage Champs Novice and Champion NPS Grand Prix. 2012 he qualified Royal International Open small breeds, finishing 5th and the Intermediate Juniors, HOYS, finishing 7th and it has been great for Alice to end the season with him qualifying for Olympia at the Heritage Champs as well. Laser has been extremely consistent being in the top three through out the season in every class he has done. He will return to stud duties next season, he is a joy to look after and show, for a stallion he has an excellent gentle temperament, one of the yard favorites.

He is a lovely big black Shetland we purchased as a foal from his breeder Mrs Pam Smith of Southam, Warwickshire. I went to her stud which was gradually closing down to buy a chestnut filly but when I saw this amazing black colt foal, I returned with him much to everyone's surprise (including Pam's). We started breeding standard Shetlands after my daughter finished riding them and only purchased mares and stallions following the blood lines of her successful ridden ponies, so we knew they had the movement and ability to become ridden ponies. Classic started this spring with Debbie Barr winning many classes including the Shetland section of the Picton final at N.P.S this summer.

Competing at Olympia for the second successive year, Menai Thomas is an 8 year old Welsh Section C stallion belonging to the Thorngate Stud from Yorkshire. Bred in the purple, by Talon Tomos out of Menai Cadi Fach, he carries the bloodlines of many of the greats of Section C breeding including Menai Fury and Llyn Cwm Coed. Bought from Peter Jones of the Menai Stud as a virtually unhandled two year old, he has exceeded all expectations both as a stud stallion and a competition pony. He passes his superb temperament and pony quality onto his offspring and, with the help of Sarah Parker and the Challinor Show Team, has excelled under saddle. He has been placed at RIHS, HOYS and has qualified for Olympia in 2011 and 2012. No mean achievement!! He can jump too, so bring on the Workers in 2013!!!

9yr old Exmoor Stallion by Limejuice out of Cumquintyn Phi has consistently been in the ribbons since being a four year old, qualifying for the Horse of the Year Show and Royal international every year. He won at BSPS Area 5 to get his RIHS ticket where he finished 3rd and won at Three Counties to qualify for HOYS. Phi qualified for the Olympia semi-final at BSPS Area 2b Summer Show and went onto win at the Heritage Championships 2012 Dartmoor/Exmoor/Shetland Semi-final class and also the Blue Ribbon class.

This will be Phi's second appearance at Olympia after being 9th and Best of Breeds in 2011.

I got Rosie from her breeders Mr and Mrs Cooper as a 21st birthday present, she was infoal and bred a black colt. In her Novice year she was Champion Novice at the Welsh Champs and won the Picton Final. She was 9th at HOYS last year.

This year she was Champion at Devon County Champion Grand Prix at NPS Area 29 and was 11th at HOYS.

We bought Cartier in April 2012 from Ireland where he had been used at stud. He had a successful in hand career as a youngster with his breeder Mrs Burt including winning the M&M Championship at Windsor in 2005 after which he was sold to Ireland. 2012 was his first season under saddle and he has proved himself consistent both under saddle and in hand. As well as showing he is very happy hacking on the open New Forest accompanying the children and ponies on rides. Cartier is totally home produced and im looking forward to riding at Olympia, as last year my husband qualified his connemara Kingstown Barney, so this year it is his turn to groom and look after Hugh & Honor.

Holmedown Chicago, better known at home as 'Hilda Highland'. Owned and bred by Wendy Bridges and ridden by Molly Simpson. It is her last year under saddle before she goes off to breed. She has had a very illustrious career in hand and under saddle with numerous championships to her name. Including just this year champion M&M ridden at Devon County show and a champion in hand at Royal Bath and West show. Hilda has qualified for HOYS for the last 3 years and had a 2nd in 2011 and a 9th in 2012. But the golden ticket to Olympia had just eluded us until this year at the heritage championships. Where we headed the very strong line up of Dales/Fells and Highland semi final class. To say we were pleased is a bit of an understatement as this mare totally deserves her ticket! It made the 6 hour journey home a lot quicker! We also won the young rider class exc 138cm class on that day and took the reserve championship spot. Hilda is an absolute pleasure to produce and ride, she is quite the character certainly makes herself known on the yard.

Welsh Section B Roan Gelding. Owned by Lynette Bates Ridden by Alex Bates (Produced by Sam Roberts Show Team) Leonardo who is a 133 Welsh Section B Gelding by Cwrtycadno Cadfridog joined us at the beginning of the 2012 season as we have a propensity for Welsh Bs, particularly if they are roan! Leonardo has had a great season, qualifying for both RIHS and HOYS where we were thrilled that he went brilliantly getting top ride, conformation and breed type marks, winning the Welsh Section B Class at HOYS. He continues his excellent form at the BSPS Heritage Championship Show where he produced a breath taking gallop to again, get top show marks and win the Welsh A & B Class, qualifying for Olympia.

Fell Black Gelding by Heltondale Bonzo Boy Owned by Lynette Bates. Ridden by Alex Bates (Produced by Sam Roberts Show Team) Charlie, as he is known at home, caused us all to burst into tears when he qualified for Olympia by winning the Fell Breed Class at the BSPS Heritage Championship Show. As Charlie is Alex's favourite pony, this was a very emotional win as following on from being Novice and Open Heritage Champion at The Heritage Championship Show in 2011 and also qualifying for HOYS in that year, we had high hopes for a successful season in 2012. Having decided that we would not try for Olympia last year, as we felt it was too soon, Charlie started the season in fantastic form, winning both his Open and Junior RIHS tickets and going Supreme of Show with some fantastic coverage in The Horse & Hound. Unfortunately, he had colic in the early part of the season, collapsing in the horsebox, resulting in a colic operation. Thanks to the brilliant expertise of Liphook Veterinary Practice and following their recovery plan to the letter, Charlie's first show back was The Heritage Championship Show, where we couldn't have been more thrilled when he won his class. He is a real family favourite and Alex is so looking forward to riding him at Olympia. Just getting him there is a bonus and not something we expected, so we hope the season will end on a high, as seeing him having his operation was a real low point. What a super resilient pony he is!

In her first season under saddle Vanilla has had a fantastic year. She won both the Novice & Restricted final at the BSPS Winter Champs, won the only 2 RIHS Qulifiers she did; and was placed 6th at the final. She was Champion in the Horse of the Year qualifer at Linonshire County. She won the Olympia class at both Kent County & Bath & West, as well as being Reserve Champion twice in the direct qualifiers. At the Horse of the Year Show she won the Connemara & New Forest class and following on she went to the BSPS Heritage Champs and won the BSPS Semi Final Qulifier for Olympia. We are all so excited that she is going to be competing at Olympia in December.

8 year old stallion bought direct from the Nynwood stud in 2009. Elliot was the first pony to take me to both RIHS in 2010 and 2011 and HOYS 2011. Due to my pregnancy he has had a year ' out ' enjoying a wonderful well earned break back with the Nynwood Stud. He was then bought back into work with Amy Simcox and only one week later qualified for the Olympia Semi Finals! We were then over the moon when jockied by Rebecca Penny he qualified for Olympia at Area 17. Not yet back in the saddle after the arrival of my new baby both myself and Elliot are on a get fit plan in preparation! Elliot is a true gentleman and a total pleasure to own so I know he will try his best at the final as always and do us all proud! I couldnt ask for more from this special pony. With Olympia and my gorgeous new baby boy Isaac - What a year!

Castle Hill Raven, black fell gelding, 8 years, by Castle Hill Jerry out of Heltondale Princess III. Produced by the Minns family and ridden by Olivia Minns.

2012 will be Raven's third consecutive visit to Olympia, qualifying at the Heritage Champs in October with the highest ride mark in his class. Other 2012 highlights include 2nd at the R.I.H.S in both the open M&M and the Home Produced classes, Champion NPS Silver Medal final, Champion NPS open M&M and qualifying for HOYS at NPS Area 15.

Raven is a wonderful character and is worth his weight in gold, winnings aside, for being a fun family friend who enjoys all aspects of life with a smile on his face... underneath all the hair of course!

With his dashing good looks and charming personality James managed to twist our arm away from the connemaras! Bred by Mr Maton, James is sired by Peveril Peter Piper and out of the forest-bred mare Mallards Wood Goddess. After a successful in-hand career as a youngster following in his mothers footsteps, we purchased him as a five year old and have bought him on slowly.

Although still a novice James contested a few HOYS classes this season and took it all in his stride. He collected his Olympia ticket after winning his breed class at the heritage championships.

Bendigo is a 6yr old welsh cob stallion full of welsh character, he is owned and bred by ceri fell, brynseion stud and ridden and produced by katie chappell. bendi has had a very successful 2012 show season including champion cob stallion royal welsh, 4th at hoys, res champion olympia qualifier at bsps scotland and hickstead and then qualifying at bsps heritage champs.

"Barney" as he is known to many has now been a part of my life for 6 years and this year- 2012, has to of been the most successful to date. From a limited amount of outings he has won at the Royal International again and was Champion and was 2nd at HOYS. He then qualified for Olympia at the Heritage Championships were he was also Blue Riband Champion. He truly is my once in a lifetime pony who loves it in the limelight but is equally as enthusiastic in his regular role as a happy hacker!

Ridden by Sue Tutcher Bred by Mrs W Warr I bought 'Trinny' early in her 3 y old year, although I had lots of success with show ponies I had always wanted a Connemara. She was shown in hand by Stuart Mason with great success including being Champion filly at the Connemara Breed show. She was broken by Sarah Challinor as a 5 yr old and brought along slowly. As she matured she started to do really well, she has been to HOYS 3 times and her career highlight was 2nd at HOYS in 2011. She has had many other successes including 1st and Res Ch at Royal Norfolk, Ch NPS Area 11, Res Ch at NPS Area 5 and qualifying for HOYS at her 1st attempt this season. We are so excited to have qualified for Olympia. Trinny is completely home produced, mostly by Sue with lots of input from me, she is very pampered and very spoilt. Trinny is really looking forward to Olympia and hoping to see Father Christmas!

Thistledown Scotch Whiskey qualified at the Heritage Championships for the 2nd year running. He has also competed on the Lead Rein winning the Lobster Pot and the Futurity Lead Rein Cahmp. Next year he will be coming out as a First Ridden.

11 year old dartmoor stallion. He won Hoys in 2009 and was 3rd there in 2011. He was 2nd at the International in 2012, 2010 and 2009! His sire in Wilby victory and his dam is Pumphill belladonna (who also competed at Olympia). This year he won at Royal Lincolnshire show. We have owned him for 4 years now and his Pet Name is Rambo!! His rider this year is Sarah Field as my son, Jack is now too big for him. He competed with Jack at Olympia in 2011 and was 6th.
