It was with  great sadness the we learnt that Joanna Maclnnes sadly passed away on Sunday 30th June 2024. Her contribution to showing and equestrian sport over many decades will not be surpassed. One of the most knowledgeable judges ever to step foot into the show ring, her opinion was much sort after by the thousands of competitors who showed under her.

She will always be remembered for the Whalton Stud and the famous stallion Kilvington Scroundel, the sire of so many champion horses and ponies.

A great supporter of the BSPS and NPS for whom both societies will be forever in her debt.

The BSPS held Joanna in the highest esteem, a judge on our panel, former Council Member, President and Patron, she held all these positions with dignity, graciousness, knowledge, sense of fun and was wonderful role model for our members to look up to.

We thank her all she has done, and pass on our condolences to her family and many friends.
