Congratulations to one of our former members, Saffie Osborne, who at 21 became the first female jockey in the 199 year history of the Tote Chester Cup to win the staying handicap, the courses most valuable and prestigious race. Saffie was a prolific winner in BSPS WHP and Burghley Sports Pony classes, before going to represent GB and becoming junior European eventing Champion. Her father Jamie, a former national hunt jump jockey and now a successful trainer, along with her mother also started out competing in BSPS Classes.
