Please remember you must have your hat tagged to compete in any BSPS Classes.  Your Area Chairman will be happy to assist with this, their contact details can be found in the BSPS Rule and Show Handbook 2023, which can be downloaded from BSPS website.  Hats do not need to be tagged if already done so by The Pony Club or Riding Club (Pink Hat Tag).

To qualify in any BSPS RIHS Plaited Classes or HOYS plaited qualifying classes, i.e. Show Ponies, Show Hunter Ponies, Working Hunter Ponies or Intermediates, must have a current annual or full Joint Measurement Board height certificate before entering and competing in these classes or your qualification will not stand, you will unfortunately, be disqualified.

Congratulations to one of our former members, Saffie Osborne, who at 21 became the first female jockey in the 199 year history of the Tote Chester Cup to win the staying handicap, the courses most valuable and prestigious race.  Saffie was a prolific winner in BSPS WHP and Burghley Sports Pony classes, before going to represent GB and becoming junior European eventing Champion.  Her father Jamie, a former national hunt jump jockey and now a successful trainer, along with her mother also started out competing in BSPS Classes.
